D22 Bucharest Project Advisors
Althea Danielski
Associate Teaching Professor, Humanities and Arts
The level of commitment and dedication our students brought to this IQP experience was remarkable. Despite the disappointment of not being able to travel to Bucharest, our six student groups conducted interviews, surveys, case studies, observations and geomapping to produce websites, guides, brochures, geomaps and recommendations for their collaborators. They used impressive intercultural communication skills, exhibited high levels of cultural competency, and built a strong and caring community. Their work is likely to have a profound impact on their stakeholders in Romania and future IQP teams at WPI. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with such a talented group of students and advisors.

Five WPI project teams worked with their Bucharest collaborators to complete Interactive Qualifying Projects (IQP's) during the D22 term. A sixth team pivoted to execute a project in Worcester. These students overcame the challenges of working remotely to produce results and deliverables which have the potential to impact the lives of people in Bucharest and Romania. It was my privilege to serve as a co-advisor for these six excellent IQPs.
